The Gust Gallucci Story

Welcome to the Gust Gallucci Company, a fine purveyor of Italian and imported gourmet foods, serving the greater Cleveland, Ohio area for over 110 years! Gust Gallucci, an Italian immigrant from Faeto, Italy, founded our company. When he came to Cleveland in the early 1900's he discovered a large Italian population who longed for products from their homeland. Gust decided he would discover a way to supply his fellow Italians with their favorite foods. He began selling his products from a large wooden cart. In 1912, he established his first store on the west side of Cleveland. Soon people began patronizing his establishment not only for the quality foods, but also because of Gust's amicable personality and overwhelming generosity.

Continuing the Gust Gallucci Legacy

The Gust Gallucci Company grew throughout the years and became a gathering place for Italian Americans and lovers of fine foods and wines. Gust's sons, Frank and Ray, joined the family business and continued to run the store after their father's death in 1952. Although the store changed locations four times, his sons never forgot their father's business philosophy: Always sell the best product at the best possible price and provide good service with a smile and a thank you. Ray's son Ray Jr. formally joined the business in 1978 and continues to operate the company today. Frank retired in 1991 leaving his brother and nephew in need of additional help, and in 1996, Gust's great-grandson Marc joined the Gust Gallucci Company.
